December 2010

Well it's been a little while since I updated this blog so I thought I better get on it! It's always crazy busy in December with Christmas and getting together with great friends and family. This month our group was a bit smaller in numbers but we still had a great time. My sister Debbie and my niece Ivy came out this time (here in town from Regina for my family's Christmas celebration!). It was a great having them out. My favorite part was when Ivy said (only about 100 times) - "Auntie! I want to do crafts with you!" I have to say it made my heart happy to hear that - also to have another convert to the paper craft side of the world ;) Mmmwhaaaahahahahaha - whoops that was a little, ahem, nerdy...

Here are a few snapshots of the cards and pages we made. In addition a couple of shots from the group. I think one of my New Years Resolutions will be to figure out how to use my camera and play with the lighting better.... I apologize in advance for the horrid pictures - blame me entirely... OH and the Santa was made by everyone too... It was made entirely out of punches by Stampin Up! I got the idea from a great blog that is done by another demonstrator.

Admitting it is the First Step

My parents have a photograph of me when I was probably around the toddler age of me playing with a whole pile of newspaper. It was apparently a favorite thing for me to do. Well now quite a few years later I am finally admitting it - I love playing with paper just as much now as I did back then. So I started as a Stampin Up! demonstrator....

Thanks to some very VERY good friends I have taken over a club that meets once a month to make beautiful cards and 12x12 scrapbook pages. I have to say that planning the projects was daunting, exciting and I couldn't pick what I wanted to show the girls first! I was so enthralled with all the ideas that are out there and things I wanted to show that I changed my mind about 3 or 4 times before finally deciding which ones to do. I had a lot of help from Aaron (my most fantastic upline!) and pulled together 4 cards and a 2-page layout.

Here are a few pictures of the things that we worked on...
